Burj Khalifa hours – opening hours of the observatory deck and more

Burj Khalifa is open from 9 am to 11 am throughout the week. 

During the week, The At the Top observatory deck (levels 124 and 125) is open from 10 am to 12 pm

On weekends, At the Top opens early at 8 am and closes at 12 pm. 

You can get the last entry to At the Top at 11 pm

At the Top Sky (Level 165) is open from 12 pm to 10 pm

The last entry to this level is at 9 pm. 

Prime hours of the observatory deck are from 4 pm to 6.30 pm. 

Admission costs during these hours are higher than at other times. 

 you can get discounted entry during these hours if you purchase your entry tickets online in advance.

Non-prime hours: 9 am to 3.30 pm and 7 pm till closing

The Burj Khalifa is open from 9 am to midnight during festivals and holidays. 

During New Year, fireworks at Burj Khalifa start at 11.58 pm.

The observation deck is open from 8 am to 12 pm during Eid, Islamic New Year, Mawlid and Christmas. 

Best time to visit Burj Khalifa

The best time to visit Burj Khalifa is sunset, between 4 pm and 6 pm. 

During this time, you can get the most stunning views of the Dubai Skyline over the sunset. 

If you prefer to avoid visiting during crowded times or can not make it during the sunset, visit between 10 am to 12 pm as soon as the observation deck opens. 

You will see fewer crowds at this time and can enjoy the fantastic views without interruption. 

It is better to visit Burj Khalifa on weekdays than on weekends. 

During weekends, Burj Khalifa welcomes huge crowds making the waiting time longer. 

November to March are the best months to visit Burj Khalifa. 

During these months you can enjoy pleasant climates and between 10°C to 20°C.

How long does it take to visit Burj Khalifa 

The time required to visit the Burj Khalifa depends on different things, like:

  • The time of day you visit
  • The number of people you are with
  • The activities you want to do
  • The number of floors you want to visit

During the prime hours, holidays or winter months, it takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to tour At the Top Sky. 

Visitors who have purchased your Burj Khalifa tickets before your visit spend 1 to 1.5 hours in the ticket queue. 

To skip this waiting time, you can purchase your entry tickets online before visiting. 

If you want to visit the Burj Khalifa at sunset, you should expect to spend at least 2 hours there, as the queues are long at this time.

During a less busy time or on weekdays, you need 1 hour to explore At the Top.

A tour of  At the Top Sky takes 45 minutes.

You will need additional time to visit other attractions in the building, like the fountain show, At.mosphere, Armani Spa and Candylicious.
